| Know your presentation facilities! |
Excellent presenters inquire ahead as to what the presentation room will look like. They also schedule to arrive at least an hour or even a day before their talk (depending on its type and complexity) to familiarize themselves with the environment and electronic equipment. Major concerns should include:

| Why is this so important? |
| We've all heard of MURPHY'S LAW, haven't we? If something is going to go wrong, it will almost inevitably happen during our presentation. The more familiar and comfortable we are with our facilities and electronic equipment, the less rattled we'll be if, indeed, something does go wrong. We'll know what to do, how to do it, or whom we should call for help. Being this well prepared will also allow us to focus our attention on where it really needs to be. That's on our presentation content and the how involved our audience is in its delivery. |
